KUPP America Leads the Way in Sustainability with Innovative HDPE Ducts’ Manufacturing Environmental Programs. 

SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA – May 5th, 2024 – KUPP America, a leader in sustainable manufacturing, is delighted to introduce three major sustainability initiatives, emphasizing a strong dedication to ethical manufacturing and environmentally friendly industrial methods. 

1. Zero HDPE Resin Loss and Recycling Program:  In a significant move for 2024, KUPP America has collaborated with local recycling companies to recycle a remarkable 3,669 kg of HDPE duct and pipe waste, demonstrating leadership in reducing environmental resin waste. KUPP America's HDPE ducts and pipes are not just crafted from recycled materials but are also entirely recyclable, ensuring top-notch performance while promoting a circular economy. 
2. Rainwater Harvesting Program: At our manufacturing building in Turrialba, Cartago, we have installed a rainwater harvesting system. This system collects rainwater in a 10 m³ internal tank to support our HDPE duct and pipe production. By utilizing the region's plentiful rainfall, we are able to decrease our dependence on drinking water, aligning with our dedication to environmental preservation.   
3. Carbon Footprint Reduction Program:  KUPP America manufactures HDPE ducts and tubes using Continuous Extrusion, a process involving heating HDPE and passing it through a die to create pipes efficiently. This method is environmentally friendly, omitting harmful gas emissions and the need for plasticizers or stabilizers, simplifying the manufacturing process.
